❛Diablo de san pedro❜ – the “Devil’s Dance” was created by the African slaves who were brought to Mexico by the Spaniards during Colonisation.
Over time Mexicans have given new religious meaning to the
traditional dance. This Diablo was photographed during La Guelaguetza, an indigenous dance festival that takes place every July in Oaxaca.
